    I'm also not your Dad's accountant who talks to you like you should understand what he's saying and then make you feel bad for being completely lost.

  • Nope! Accountants and bookkeepers are very different.

    Bookkeepers (that’s me!) focus on keeping your business finances organized day-to-day—tracking income and expenses, reconciling accounts, and making sure your books are accurate and up-to-date.

    CPAs step in for tax prep, audits, and more complex financial advising.

    I don’t file taxes, but I make sure your financial records are crystal-clear so your CPA (or tax pro) has everything they need.

    As far as education goes I have Bachelors of Science in Finance and I am Xero Certified (which is the accounting software I work in).

  • Nope.

    Every business needs clean books. Every business owner needs to know their numbers (sales, profits, costs) so they can make smart decisions.

    The sole purpose of books are not just for taxes. And books done solely for taxes do not provide the same value monthly bookkeeping reports do.

    If your plan is to grow and if you're serious about your business then its time to take your numbers seriously.

  • No and no.

    You do not need to already have either to start working with me. Frankly, I prefer when you don't - it's easier to start with a clean slate. But if you do we will see what state it is in and make a decision from there.

    My preferred software is Xero and I will do the heavy lifting of transferring you over to it if you are elsewhere.

    The Xero subscription will be included in my monthly fee.

  • 1. Fill out the Quote Form below.

    This gives me the detailed information I need in order to give you an accurate quote. 

    Yup, it's kinda long but don't let that scare you. I opt for a long form over a required discovery call because I think that is the best use of your time and mine. 

    *You do, however, have the option to schedule a free 30 min call with me prior to receiving your quote if you would like to. Just select that option on the form and you will get a link to schedule via email. 

     

    2. Email / Quote

    Once I have your information I will review and follow up via email if I have any questions.

    Once I have all the information I need I will email you a detailed quote which will include: 

    1. The monthly fee for my bookkeeping services.

    2. The onboarding fee, which is a one time cost to get your books setup and caught up. The time of year and start date of the bookkeeping will be the biggest factor in this cost.

    However, you will not be charged my monthly rate multiplied by the amount of months that need to be caught up. This fee will be discounted for new monthly clients.

    3. Contract & Payment

    Once you accept the quote I will send you a contract to sign and then you will make your first payment. 

    4. Onboarding

    Once you’ve signed the contract and made the first payment we will schedule a 60 minute onboarding call during which we will set up your Xero account, connect your bank accounts in Xero, and work on granting me read-only access to your bank accounts so I can pull statements for you every month. 

  • Nope. You don't.

    Leave the mess to me, I'll take it off your hands.

    Part of the onboarding process is getting your books caught up from the start of your business or the start of the year. This is a new client incentive and is discounted when you become a monthly or quarterly client.

    It's all part of the process and I'm here to help.

  • Once your books are set up I'll maintain your books monthly.

    What that looks like:

    After each month ends I will pull your bank statements, categorize your transactions from that month, reconcile your books to your bank accounts and put together your reports.

    You will receive one email with any questions/clarifications in a Google Doc as needed and once you answer those questions I’ll finalize your books and you'll receive a report pack via email along with highlights of what your numbers are telling you.

    I'll have your books to you by the end of the month, if not sooner, as long as you answer questions in a timely manner.

  • All clients are provided with the following reports:

    1. Profit and Loss Statement: personalized and customized for your specific business with information that you care about the most. This report details your revenue, expenses, profit, profit margin and recommended tax set aside.

    2. Balance Sheet: shows assets, liabilities and equity

    3. Cash Summary: shows the movement of cash into and out of your business. 

    4. Account Transactions: summary of all transactions for the reporting period. 

    We can discuss any specifics you want shown and broken down on your reports as we start working together. 

    When the report pack is sent to you I will highlight the most important and relevant information in a way that is simple and easy to understand.

    You will also be given a suggested set aside for taxes, which I recommend you place in a high yield savings account.

  • My base package for monthly clients starts at $375 per month and will vary based on complexity and needs.

    When we work together and implement good systems that allow me to deliver high quality accurate data most clients will fall into this minimum. 

    If your books need to be caught up there will be a one time onboarding fee however, this is discounted for new monthly bookkeeping clients.

    Each month you will be billed on a monthly auto-pay subscription.

    Set ups and Clean ups vary depending on scope and time of year. These start at $1000 and can range up to $6000+ for a full year catch up.
